Janelle True began writing songs in her mid-teen years. She found the process emotionally cathartic during seasons of mental health challenges. Writing from her own experience and her deep empathy for others, her heartfelt lyrics provide healing through music. Through soulful storytelling, she makes listeners feel seen and includes themes of truth, justice, faith, and the human experience. With honest lyrics and powerful vocals, she found her authentic artist voice during the production process of her resurgent EP 'State of Being'.

Nathan Wright – Producer
Producing ‘State of Being’ when he was only 19 years old, Janelle considers Nathan a ‘production prodigy’ and credits him with developing and cultivating her sound as an artist. He took the themes, lyrics, and melodies in her writing and brought incredible depth to the recordings, modernizing her love for classic genre’s like jazz, soul, and 70’s rock.
